Performance kits for the YAMAHA® YFZ450, YZ450F & WR450F

The YFZ450, YZ450F & WR450F share the same basic 4 Stroke Engine.  And while the engines may look the same on each machine, thye all require a different level of tuning and parts for the type of riding involved; from recreational trail riding to all out racing. Performance kits are offered in 3 stages from "mild to wild" with the Stage 3 kit offering the most power.  For additional info on engine kits, please refer to the brochure link below the images.

Overview of Engine Performance Kits
Note: All parts are available seperately

STAGE ONE KIT- Essentially a "bolt-on" performance package without any internal engine modifications and the rev limiter is eliminated giving another 1000 rpm to the rev range. 
Kit includes the following:

  • - Upgraded Carburetor, twist throttle and cable (thumb thottle and cable also available), grips and K&N  air filter. Stock replacement or race filter for use without air box
  • - Complete aluminum ceramic coated racing exhaust with reverse cone megaphone and rebuildable glass pack muffler.

STAGE TWO KIT - Kit Includes stage 1 parts, plus the following parts for additional performance:

  • - High compression forged piston kit w/ gaskets & guide seals
  • - Performance racing cams (Please Note:Billet Cams will require shorter guides)
  • - Dual racing valve springs with titanium retainers.

STAGE THREE KIT - Includes all of the parts from stages one and two, plus extensive modification to customers cylinder head, plus the following parts for additional performance:

  • - Install larger valve seats, oversize valves and bronze guides
  • - Enlarged and matched ports
  • - Enlarged and matched intake manifold
